New Chairs of the Science Committee!

Berta Martín-López and Reinette (Oonsie) Biggs will lead the PECS science committee as PECS heads into its second decade.

We are proud and honored to announce our new Science Committee Chairs Berta Martín-López and Reinette (Oonsie) Biggs.

Both Berta and Oonsie have been fundamental parts of the PECS science committee and will now take the helm for the next three years.

Berta is a Professor of Sustainability Science at Leuphana University of Lüneberg. She also is co-Editor-in-chief of the scientific journal, Ecosystems and People.

Oonsie is Associate Professor and South African Research Chair in Social-Ecological Systems & Resilience Centre for Complex Systems in Transition at Stellenbosh University. She is also a Research theme leader at the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. Oonsie developed and ran the South African branch of PECS, SAPECS.
